Day 2
Today, we will analyze results, and get pictures so we can compare what every group found.
We will finish and turn in the lab report.
Open your folder, lay out the bones you found. Identify and label the animals found on the folder. Write your group member names on the folder as well.
Here's a field guide to help your group identify skulls:
Hit update occasionally to view the other groups' results.
Based on the lab report format, make sure you have:
Procedure (25 points)
Consists of:
1. A materials list
2. Step by step, numbered instructions for how to conduct this lab
You can summarize the procedure to include just what you've done.
Make sure you follow the instructions in the lab.
You will draw a food web based on your findings, analyze the mode of nutrition (carnivore/omnivore/herbivore) for all the animals you find.
You will graph the relative numbers of herbivores/carnivores/omivores.
This is all part of results.
Results (25 points)
Consists of:
1. Data Table and graph or drawings for your results.
2. Written explanation of the data table and graph., omnivores, carnivores and decomposers.
Analysis questions are also part of the results. :)
Conclusions (25 points)
Consists of:
1. A statement about whether the data supports or contradicts your hypothesis.
2. Explanation of why this occurred. What went right? Wrong?
3. What you would do differently if this experiment where repeated? What variables would you control?
Include the three conclusion questions in your conclusions. You don't need to number them, just make sure the answers are there. Also, make sure you answer the questions in the lab report format.
Click here to complete questions 1-10 for your DOL. You can include this somewhere in your report, just make sure you label it.
