We will write the answers during lecture, or if you prefer, answer them at home and highlight during lecture. 



Design an experiment that tests the flow rate of water through three different types of dirt.

At the end of class you should have:

1. A hypothesis about which soil holds the most water. 

2. A data table with recorded values. 

3. A diagram with terms labeled: hypothesis,  prediction, experimental variable,  experimental group, control group. 

4. You will graph your data for homework. 

5. Conclusions about which type of soil holds the most water.
